European Union countries imported from Turkmenistan 12,028 tons of mineral fuels, oils and products of their distillation; as well as bituminous substances and mineral waxes in March 2021, Eurostat told Trend.
The number of the above-mentioned imports reached 4.7 million Euros.
Meanwhile, in February 2021, the volume of imports reached 57,678 tons for 21.7 million Euros, and in January -155,633 tons worth 49.3 million Euros.
Thus, the import of mineral fuels, oils, and products of their distillation; as well as bituminous substances and mineral waxes by the EU countries over 2020 was 734,578 tons for the total amount of 196.8 million Euros.
As earlier EU Ambassador to Turkmenistan Diego Ruiz Alonso told Trend, the EU is in the process of planning cooperation with Turkmenistan for 2021-2027.
"At the moment, we are conducting consultations with the partners and various interested groups," said the ambassador.
"The EU plans are yet to be finalized, but, generally speaking, the EU plans to focus on the promotion of green aspects of the economy as a precondition for meeting the objectives of the National Development Plan, achieving relevant SDGs objectives, and creating job opportunities and fostering inclusive growth," he said.
