US EXIM bank sent a letter of appeal on financing the project for the modernization and reconstruction of the Bukhara oil refinery, Trend reports with reference to Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
It is reported that a videoconference meeting was held via videoconference with representatives of UOP Limited company (US) with the participation of specialists from Uzbekneftegaz JSC, Bukhara oil refinery and the project implementation group, during which the issues of financing the investment project for the modernization and reconstruction of the Bukhara oil refinery were discussed.
During the negotiations, UOP Limited, EXIM Bank (USA) showed interest in supporting the project for the modernization and reconstruction of the Bukhara oil refinery.
It is reported that EXIM Bank sent a letter of appeal to finance this investment project in the amount of $184 million.
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to provide EXIM to the US Bank with detailed information on the project for the modernization and reconstruction of the Bukhara Oil refinery and a questionnaire on project financing.
The Bukhara Refinery Modernization and Reconstruction Project is aimed at increasing the refining depth of existing facilities from 79 percent to 95 percent, the yield of light oil products from 77 percent to 91 percent, and the production of petroleum products that meet the requirements of the Euro 5 standard.
Export-Import Bank USA EXIM is the official export credit agency of the US. The Bank provides financial services not provided by private financial institutions and replaces them in commercial and established financial sectors.
