Work is underway to automate technological processes and ensure uninterrupted operation of control system installations and software of the Mubarek Oil and Gas Production Departament, Trend reports referring to Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
Uzbekneftegaz JSC said that a number of measures were identified to restore the production capacities of oil and gas production departments, as well as to complete scheduled repair work in a timely manner and put gas processing plants into operation.
In particular, work is being carried out to automate technological processes and ensure uninterrupted operation of control system and software installations, assembled on the basis of Allen-Bradley controllers installed by modern foreign companies at the Pomuk integrated gas treatment unit of the Mubarek Oil and Gas Production Directorate.
It is noted that together with the department of metrology and automation of Uzbekneftegaz JSC and qualified specialists in the field, systematic work is being carried out to timely eliminate the identified deficiencies and malfunctions.
Also, it is reported that on the basis of the targeted program in 2016-2017, the outdated automation system was abandoned at the Pomuk integrated gas treatment plant and automation and control system for modern technological processes was introduced. As a result of the timely implementation of scheduled repairs by qualified specialists on site, the unit is still being used without interruptions and malfunctions.
In addition, the Kemachi complex gas treatment unit is operated on the basis of the R-130 controllers and with the outdated automatic control system. Due to the fact that with this system there are difficulties in the routine management of the installation processes, the accuracy and quality of control is not up to the mark, specialists of Uzbekneftegaz JSC and management have begun work on the development of a new modern automation and process control system.
In order to optimize costs, all the necessary automation tools for technological processes and control systems are planned to be provided from internal reserves, and dismantling and installation, software development, commissioning works are planned to be performed without the involvement of contractors.
