Azerbaijan exported 7.4 billion cubic meters of gas from January through May 2021, which is by 32 percent more than in the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the report of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy.
According to the ministry, 4.3 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas were exported to Turkey.
Moreover, Azerbaijan exported about 2.1 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe during the reporting period.
"Some 1.1 billion cubic meters of gas were exported to Georgia," the report says.
Azerbaijani gas supplies to Turkey via the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) reached 2.2 billion cubic meters.
In accordance with the report, 97 billion cubic meters of gas have been exported from Shah Deniz field up till now.
Azerbaijan exported 13.4 billion cubic meters of gas in 2020, which exceeds the same indicator of 2019 by 16 percent.
The gas production reached 37.1 billion cubic meters in Azerbaijan in 2020.
