Diversifying renewable energy remains key in Georgia - Ener-t

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 12

By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Diversifying renewable energy is key in Georgia, the Ener-t International company told Trend.

To generate enough energy to power Georgia, we will need to combine all of these clean, free, and renewable sources said the source.

"Some 81 percent of the electricity in Georgia is generated by HPPs. However, only about 60 percent of the existing HPP capacity is able to reach its energy generation potential due to deteriorated equipment," said the company.

Ener-t International also pointed to energy storage, which means a power plant could be included in an 'Energy Storage system', which would extend the production time by up to an additional several hours every day.

Ener-t International is a technology expert, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor and project developer of concentrated solar thermal power plants (CSP). Ener-t offers complete EPC services, including the supply of the solar field, using its patented high-efficiency, proven and bankable technology.
