The export of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals, crude from Azerbaijan to 27 European Union (EU) countries exceeded 3.2 billion euros from January through May 2021, Eurostat told Trend.
The value of exports amounted to 500.2 million euros in January, 776 million euros in February, 606.6 million euros in March, 646.1 million euros in April and 694.8 million euros in May.
In terms of volume, Azerbaijan exported 1.6 million tons in January, 2.28 million tons in February, 1.59 million tons in March, 1.7 million tons in April and 1.78 million tons in May.
The export of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals, crude from Azerbaijan to 27 European Union countries stood at 22.1 million tons as of 2020 valued at 6.2 billion euros.
The lowest value of exports was recorded in May 2020 at 229.4 million euros, while the highest value was observed in January 2020 with 1.01 billion euros.
The data released by Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy shows that the country exported about 14 million tons of oil with condensate from January through June 2021, which is by 667,000 tons or 4.8 percent, less than in the same period of last year.
