Gasoline falls on most of Iran's petroleum product export

TEHRAN, Iran, Aug. 28

Statistics of National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) show a total of 8.5 million tons of exported petroleum products in 2020, of which 7 million tons accounted for gasoline, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Iran hit the record of petroleum products export in 2020.

The mentioned 8.5 million tons is independent from the marine export of petroleum products such as fuel oil, which is carried out by the National Iranian Oil Company, the share of gasoline was 7 million tons, equivalent to 82.5 percent.

In total, export of petroleum products has brought $13.5 billion in revenues, which played an important role in overcoming sanctions as well as countering the COVID-19 situation.

Iran's target market for petroleum products is Afghanistan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, UAE, as well as Singapore and Venezuela.
