The National Development Fund of Iran has spent $14.5 billion on 74 projects in the oil and gas sector over the past 10 years (March 21, 2011 through March 20, 2021), this was reflected in a statistics of the fund, Trend reports.
This was accounted for 65 percent of total expenditures in Iran’s all sectors.
So, $9.71 billion has been spent for 12 projects on extraction and transportation of oil and gas.
Over the past 10 years, $3.72 billion has been spent for seven projects related to the construction of oil and gas refineries.
In addition, $527 million has been spent for 9 projects in the upstream industry of petrochemical sector.
At the same time, $528 million has been spent for 46 projects in the downstream industry of petrochemical sector.
