The export of Azerbaijani oil to Ukraine in value terms from January through August 2021 amounted to $268.2 million, Trend reports via the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan exported 649.8 million tons of oil to Ukraine, which is 3.4 percent of the total volume of exported oil.
In value terms, Azerbaijani oil exported to Ukraine amounted to 3.1 percent of the total value of exports of these products.
Azerbaijan exported over 18.7 billion tons of oil from January through August 2021 in total, which is 9.5 percent, or about 2 billion tons, less than over the same period of 2020. In terms of value, oil exports amounted to almost $8.5 billion, which is 25.1 percent, or $1.7 billion, more than from January through August 2020.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover from January through August 2021 exceeded $20.2 billion. This is 18.3 percent, or $3.7 billion, more than over the same period of 2020.
In the structure of foreign trade turnover, exports accounted for $12.9 billion, which is 30.9 percent, or $3 billion, more than from January through August 2020. The share of exports in foreign trade turnover was 63.7 percent.
Azerbaijan's imports over the reporting period reached the amount of $7.3 billion, an increase of 9.8 percent, or $659 million, compared to the same period of 2020. The share of imports in foreign trade turnover was 36.2 percent.
The foreign trade turnover balance, remaining positive, increased by 42.8 percent, or $2.3 billion, year-on-year – to $5.5 billion.
