Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan were among the three largest importers of gasoline to Uzbekistan in the first eight months of 2021, Trend reports citing the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
According to the committee, the volume of the product’s import from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan was 121 million liters and 16 million liters, respectively.
At the same time, Russia became the leader in gasoline supplies to Uzbekistan with a supply volume of 139 million liters.
The committee also noted that a total of 281.6 million liters of motor gasoline worth $100 million were imported to Uzbekistan from January through August 2021, up by 3.2 times compared to the same period of last year.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover with Turkmenistan reached $418.1 million, thus growing by more than 23.6 percent on annual basis.
