The electricity generation of the Dorud Thermal Power Plant in the Lorestan Province (western Iran) increased by 2.75 percent, during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, the Head of Dorud TPP Vahid Astarki said, Trend reports citing Iran’s Thermal Power Plants Holding Company’s website.
The official noted that the Dorud TPP generated more than 112 million kilowatt-hours of electricity within the mentioned period.
Astarki added that despite the fact that the TPP has been operating for 45 years, it has been in full operation since the beginning of this year. Ongoing monitoring was carried out to ensure the sustainable operation of the power plant’s units.
Reportedly, there are 3 gas units operating at Dorud TPP, each of which can generate 30 megawatt-hours of electricity.
