TEHRAN, Iran, Oct. 26
Trend:
Iran's capital Tehran needs at least 80 small-scale new gas stations, said the deputy commercial director of the National Petroleum Products Distribution Company in Tehran Saeed Barkhordar, Trend reports citing ILNA.
Tehran Province owns 339 gas stations, of which 212 are located in Tehran city, Barkhordar said.
He went on to say that the company's plan in the previous years was to build small fuel stations in Tehran.
“So far 24 new gas stations have been built in Tehran," he said.
Barkhodar noted that an auction was held by Tehran municipality to build small gas stations, adding that the winner will be able to operate the stations under BOT contracts, some of which have been implemented and some of which have been suspended.
Currently, over 15 to 16 million liters of gasoline are distributed daily in the whole province of Tehran, said the official.
