Kazakhstan's Hyperborea company to implement wind farm projects

Projects for the construction of wind farms with a total installed capacity of 50 MW will be implemented in Kazakhstan, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Energy.

According to the ministry, the Kazakh Hyperborea LLP was selected as the company to implement these projects based on the results of the auctions. The auction price is 14.08 tenge/kWh (3.3 cents), excluding VAT.

The next auction was appointed for November 11, 2021 for HPPs with an installed capacity of 100 MW.

According to the schedule for this year, it’s planned to conduct auctions for power plants with the total installed capacity of 200 MW as below:

- solar power plants - 20 MW;

- wind farms - 50 MW;

- HPPs - 120 MW;

- Bio power plants - 10 MW.

KOREM JSC was appointed as organizer of the auctions.
