GECF reveals estimates on Azerbaijan’s proven gas reserves

Azerbaijan’s proven gas reserves stood at 1.917 trillion cubic meters in 2020, remaining unchanged from 2019, Trend reports with reference to the Annual Statistical Bulletin 2021 of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).

GECF estimates that the country’s proved gas reserves amounted to 1.317 trillion cubic meters in 2011, then dropping to 1.308 trillion cubic meters in 2012, 1.300 trillion cubic meters in 2013, 1.292 trillion cubic meters in 2014, 1.284 trillion cubic meters in 2015, 1.277 trillion cubic meters in 2016, 1.270 trillion cubic meters in 2017 and 1.435 trillion cubic meters in 2018.

OPEC data shows that Azerbaijan’s proven gas reserves grew by 14.8 percent standing at 2.2 trillion standard cubic meters in 2020, as compared to 1.9 trillion standard cubic meters in 2019.

OPEC estimates that the country’s proved gas reserves amounted to 1.277 trillion standard cubic meters in 2016, then dropping to 1.270 trillion standard cubic meters in 2017, before recovering to 1.435 trillion standard cubic meters in 2018.
