A hybrid solar power station and storage facilities with a capacity of 100 MW and more is planned to be built in Saran city of Kazakhstan’s Karaganda district, governor of the Karaganda district administration Zhenis Kassymbek said, Trend reports with reference to the Karaganda district administration.
“Eight projects covering 228 MW have already been implemented,” the governor added. “A 100 MW solar power station is under construction near Balkhash city.”
Kassymbek said that the projects in the field of "green" energy are being implemented with the participation of foreign companies.
“Investments in those projects amounted to more than 100 billion tenge ($231.4 million),” the governor said.
