Iran discloses details of its daily gasoline production

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 29

By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:

Iran currently produces an average of 95 million liters of gasoline daily, Trend reports citing National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company’s website.

In connection with the gasoline production, a number of repairs were carried out at the Abadan, Bandar Abbas, Esfahan and Tehran refineries this year, all of which resulted in increase of gasoline production.

Iran produced an average of 93.5 million tons of gasoline daily over last Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).

Within the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2021), Iran consumed an average of 86 million liters of gasoline per day, which is more than 10 million liters daily, compared to the same period last Iranian year. At present, Iran has potential to produce 103-105 million liters of gasoline daily.

Meanwhile, Iran's published statistics for last year claim the daily production of 115 million liters of gasoline, yet the numbers are misleading, since the mentioned data includes Iran's production potential for crude gasoline, along with read-to-use gasoline.
