Dynamics of European oil demand in 2021-23

European oil demand is forecast at 13.7 million barrels per day (mbd) as of 2021, before rising to 14.1 mbd in 2022, Trend reports with reference to the US JP Morgan Bank.

The continent’s oil demand amounted to 12.6 mbd in Q1, 13.3 mbd in Q2, 14.6 mbd in Q3 and is set at 14.1 mbd in Q4 2021.

Europe’s demand for oil will stand at 13.9 mbd in Q1 2022, 14 mbd in Q2, 14.5 mbd in Q3 and 14.2 mbd in Q4.

The figures for 2023 are as follows: 14.2 mbd in 2023, 14 mbd in Q1, 14.1 mbd in Q2, 14.6 mbd in Q3 and 14.1 mbd in Q4.

World oil demand is expected to stand at 99.8 million barrels per day in 2022, as compared to 96.4 mbd in 2021. The Bank estimates that the world oil demand in 2021 equaled to 93.3 mbd in Q1, 95.2 mbd in Q2, 97.9 mbd in Q3 and is expected 99 mbd in Q4. As for 2022, world oil demand is expected to reach 98.3 mbd in Q1, 99 mbd in Q2, 101 mbd in Q3 and 101 in Q4.
