The total volume of oil production in Azerbaijan from January through November 2021 decreased, Trend reports on Dec. 30 via the report of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy.
According to the ministry, this figure amounted to nearly 31.6 million tons (together with condensate), down 16,500 tons on annual basis.
Of this volume, 20.6 million tons accounted for oil at the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of fields while 3.8 million tons - condensate at Shah Deniz field.
In accordance with the report, oil and condensate production by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) amounted to 7.2 million tons.
The production figures for the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz fields, which play an important role in the development of the oil and gas industry in Azerbaijan, were also specified.
Oil production and export (with condensate) amounted to 578.6 million tons and 578.1 million tons, respectively, from the moment of the fields’ commissioning until Dec.1, 2021.
Some 544.6 million tons of oil were produced from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli block of fields, and nearly 34 million tons of condensate - from the Shah Deniz field.
