Iran supplies gas to certain cities, villages

A number of cities and villages in Iran were supplied with gas, as well as a new petrochemical facility was launched in the country on February 9, 2022, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.

In this regard, a total of 400 trillion rials (about $9.52 billion) has been spent.

According to the report, 14 Iranian cities, 1,459 villages and 4,114 industrial facilities were supplied with gas. It cost 52 trillion rials (about $1.24 billion).

In addition, eleven facilities on gas transmission at a cost of 100 trillion rials (about $2.38 billion) were launched in the country.

Also, a petrochemical facility of the Ibn Sina Petrochemical Company in Iran's Khuzestan Province was put into operation in. A total of 12 trillion rials (about $286 million) has been spent on the construction of the facility and the supplying with necessary equipment.

“At the same time, work on gas supply to 10 cities and 1,239 villages in Iran at a cost of 39 trillion rials (about $928 million), as well as the construction of 8 facilities on gas transmission at a cost of 200 trillion rials (about $4.76 billion) has begun,” the report said.
