BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30. An increase in the export of Azerbaijani oil and gas products is expected in the near future, Deputy Energy Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Soltanov told reporters, Trend reports.
According to him, Azerbaijan exports gas mainly on the basis of long-term contracts.
"With the growth of gas production in Azerbaijan, its exports, also export potential, are growing. The export of Azerbaijani gas to EU countries is growing based on our existing contracts with these countries. New opportunities are opening up for our country, all export activities gas and its financing are taken by the relevant consortium in the framework of cooperation with partners. These steps comply with the national and economic interests of Azerbaijan," the deputy minister said.
There is growth in exports of oil and gas products in the short term, he also noted.
"These figures are growing in accordance with the existing contracts and the interests of Azerbaijan's partners," Soltanov added.
