TEHRAN, Iran, April 14. Iran's renewable energy production is being expanded as the country may start construction of solar photovoltaic power plants in Ardabil Province, said an expert in energy systems engineering Ali Maneshari, Trend reports citing ISNA.
"Ardabil Province has good location to absorb solar energy and
construction of solar power plants will create jobs and reduce
water consumption," he said.
Maneshari went on to say that the construction of solar power
plants will increase Iran's power production and prevent power
outages.
Iran's renewable power plants' production capacity was 904.07
megawatt in February 2022 and solar power plants have generated 50
percent of the electricity.
According to the expert, Ardabil Province has produced
4.23-megawatt of renewable energy but further production requires
more investments.
