TEHRAN, Iran, May 17. Iran is focusing to export oil products to regional markets and East Asian countries, said Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company Jalil Salari, Trend reports.
Iran can export technical and engineering services and supply equipment for the production of refined oil products in foreign countries, he said at the press conference in the 26th edition of Iran International Oil, Gas, and Refining & Petrochemical Exhibition.
Salari went on to say that Iran produces 260 million liters of oil products including gasoline, diesel, feed for petrochemical plants, and jet fuel. Iran's private sector has received permits to extend its activities in the export of oil products.
He pointed out that Iran is seeking to invest in foreign countries such as Nicaragua in South America and collaborate in the energy sector, production, and re-export of refined petroleum products.
Salari stressed that recent agreements between Iran and three South American countries will improve the export of engineering services and equipment.
The official has indicated that Iran can export jet fuel. The country can produce 5 million liters of fuel and can extend the production to 15 million liters.
