Europe’s petroleum output to go down, says EIA

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 8. European petroleum and other liquids production will stand at 4.10 million barrels per day in 2022, as compared to 4.14 mbd in 2021, Trend reports with reference to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).

EIA estimated Europe’s quarterly production at 4.34 mbd, 3.83 mbd, 4.12 mbd and 4.13 mbd in 2021.

Europe is said to produce 4.08 mbd in the first quarter of 2022, while for the rest of the quarters the expected figures are 4.06 mbd, 4.01 mbd and 4.26 mbd, respectively.

Europe’s petroleum production in 2023 is expected at 4.37 mbd, with quarterly production of 4.35 mbd, 4.36 mbd, 4.29 mbd and 4.49 mbd, respectively.

In particular, EIA expects Norway to produce 2.04 mbd and 2.33 mbd in 2022 and 2023 respectively, as compared to 2.03 mbd in 2021. UK’s output is expected to stand at 0.93 mbd in 2022, before dropping to 0.90 mbd in 2023.
