BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 17. Russia’s Tatneft PJSC and Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas NC signed an agreement on the implementation of a geological exploration project in Kazakhstan, Trend reports via the press service of the President of Russia Tatarstan.
According to the press service, the signing took place during the meeting of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
At the end of the meeting, an agreement of intent was signed on the implementation of the Karaton-Sarkamys exploration project in the Atyrau region of Kazakhstan between Tatneft and KazMunayGas, added the press service.
Tatneft is one of the largest oil companies in Russia. The company is pursuing a strategy of effectively increasing reserves and expanding its presence not only in Russia but also abroad.
The KazMunayGas (KMG) National Company is a Kazakh operator for the exploration, production, processing and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the interests of the state in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan.
