BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 29. Türkiye has imported a total of 282,500 tons of crude oil from Kazakhstan in May 2022, which accounted for 7.41 percent of total Türkiye’s crude oil imports for the month, Trend reports citing Türkiye’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
Thus, Türkiye’s import of Kazakh crude oil increased by 20.6 percent compared to April 2022 (234,173 tons) and went down by 29.8 percent compared to the volume imported in May 2021 (402,898 tons).
Türkiye’s import of crude oil from Kazakhstan from January through March 2022 amounted to 2.1 million tons.
The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Türkiye amounted to $2.6 billion over the period from January through May 2022, compared to $1.4 billion during the same months of 2021.
Kazakhstan’s exports to Türkiye amounted to $2.1 billion over the period from January through May 2022, compared to $1.01 billion during the same period of 2021.
In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Türkiye amounted to nearly $477.6 million over the reporting period, compared to $450.3 million during the same period of 2021.
