The Central Eastern Azeri (ACE) project has progressed to 75 percent as of the end of the second quarter of 2022. At the production site in Bibi Heybat, work continued on the manufacturing of ACE upper structures and drilling equipment. The lifting of the drilling equipment to the upper building block was completed. The installation of the pipes of the upper structure and hydraulic testing were carried out in accordance with the plan. Work continued on the commissioning of the upper structures and the mechanical completion of drilling. Work continues at the Sangachal terminal to ensure the management of ACE operations from the shore.
In addition, BP will introduce a new Gas Lift distribution system on the Chirag platform at the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli block.
"The Chirag Gas Lift Project (CGLP) was also completed safely and within budget in the second quarter of 2022. The project has delivered important plant safety modifications helping manage any overpressure risk by removing reliance on human intervention and operational procedures. Throughout the year, the new gas lift distribution system will be introduced to the platform’s candidate wells in line with its production schedule.
Also, BP is completing underwater installation work on the western-southern flank of Shah Deniz-2.
The work under the Shah Deniz-2 project was progressing successfully In the first half of 2022 to launch production from the western-southern flank in the third quarter.

EBRD (The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development), ADB (the Asian Development Bank), JICA (the Japan International Cooperation Agency) and the ADFD (Abu Dhabi Development Fund) have allocated a loan of $114.2 million for the construction of a photovoltaic (PV) solar power plant in Azerbaijan.
The EBRD funds in the loan amount amount to $21.4 million, partners - $92.8 million. According to the EBRD, financing will be provided for the construction project of the Garadagh solar power plant with an installed capacity of 230 MWs, implemented by Masdar Azerbaijan Energy LLC.
