Iran’s SPGC shares data on production of its 10th Refinery

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. The 10th Refinery of Iran’s South Pars Gas Company (SPGC) produced more than 4 million barrels of gas condensate, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2022), the head of 10th Refinery Soheyl Rafiei said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

Rafiei said that the 10th Refinery also produced more than 145,000 tons of ethane and 109,000 tons of propane in 3 months.

The official added that at the same time, more than 85,000 tons of butane, more than 25,000 tons of sulfur and more than 4 million cubic meters of liquefied gas for export were produced in 3 months.

The 10th gas refinery of the South Pars Gas Company produces rich gas extracted from the 19th phase of the South Pars gas field. The refinery has the capacity to produce 50 million cubic meters of sweet gas, 77,000 barrels of gas condensate, 2,400 tons of ethane, 1,800 tons of propane, 1,100 tons of butane, and 320 tons of sulfur per day.

The South Pars gas field (called North Dome in Qatar) is a joint gas field of Iran and Qatar. The proven reserves of the South Pars Gas Field are estimated at 51 trillion cubic meters of gas, of which 36 trillion are extractable. Iran's share in the field is 14 trillion cubic meters of gas and 18 billion barrels of gas condensate.
