Crude oil production of Iran’s NISOC increases - official

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 24. Daily crude oil production of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) increased by 16 percent, during the past 11 months (August 23, 2021 through July 22, 2022), compared to the previous period, an official of the NISOC, Mohammad Mansouri said, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.

Mansouri said that the company produced an average of 1.77 million barrels of crude oil daily within the mentioned period.

“Meanwhile in the previous period, the NISOC’s crude oil production stood at 1.53 million barrels per day,” he added.

The official emphasized that despite the difficult situations such as economic problems and the coronavirus pandemic, the NISOC managed to maintain and increase its sustainable production thanks to its workforce.

“During the mentioned 11 months, the National Iranian South Oil Company supplied daily 22 million cubic meters of gas to Marun Petrochemical Company, daily 22 million cubic meters of gas to Persian Gulf Bid-Boland Gas Refining Company, as well as daily 47,000 barrels of gas condensate to Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company, daily 14,000 barrels of naphtha to the Bouali Sina Petrochemical Company and daily 1.5 million cubic meters of gas to the Razi Petrochemical Company,” Mansouri noted.

The National Iranian South Oil Company, a subordinate of the National Iranian Oil Company, operates 45 large and small hydrocarbon deposits in an area of 400,000 square kilometers from Iran's Bushehr Province to the north of Khuzestan Province.

The company extracts about 80 percent of Iran's crude oil and 16 percent of gas.
