BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 29. Last week, 15 percent customs duty on imports of TC1 jet fuel and other jet fuel brands was canceled in Azerbaijan, Trend reports.

Changes were also made to excise tax rates for excisable goods imported into the territory of Azerbaijan. The excise tax rate on TC-1 jet fuel, as well as other fuel, is set at 1 manat ($0.59) per ton by the end of 2022.

Furthermore, the current excise rates for petroleum products have been changed.

Thus, the excise rates for RON-92 gasoline increased from 42 to 42.5 percent and for diesel fuel from 18 to 18.3 percent.

In addition, the transportation of fuel to Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic will be subsidized in accordance with the resolution on certain issues related to changes in excise rates on petroleum products and the cost of its transportation across Azerbaijan.

The change in excise tax rate will not affect retail prices for gasoline and diesel fuel, and in general, the issue of price changes for these products was not up for discussion.

Last week Bulgaria announced that it will resume negotiations with Azerbaijan on increasing gas supplies.

In addition, Hungary is planning to receive the supply of 'green' electricity from Azerbaijan.

Also, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are negotiating on the possible transportation of Kazakh oil through the territory of Azerbaijan.
