BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 1. Azerbaijan’s gas exports to Türkiye rose by 39.59 percent in June 2022, as compared to the same month in 2021, and stood at 729.44 million cubic meters, Trend reports with reference to Türkiye’s Energy Markets Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
The country came in third in terms of natural gas exports to Türkiye during the reporting period.
Russia was the largest exporter of natural gas to Türkiye in June 2022 with almost 1.690 billion cubic meters, a 29.52 percent decrease year-on-year, followed by Iran with 855.05 million cubic meters, or 1.38 percent less year-on-year.
Türkiye’s overall gas imports dropped by 5.64 percent in June 2022 year-on-year and stood at 3.836 billion cubic meters, with 3.274 billion cubic meters accounting for pipeline imports and 561.83 million cubic meters imported as liquefied natural gas.
Pipeline imports decreased by 13.54 percent, while LNG imports saw a 101.94 percent growth.
