BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 1. Turkmenistan does not remove the construction of the Trans-Caspian Gas Pipeline linking Azerbaijan with Turkmenistan from its agenda, Trend reports with reference to the Russian media.

This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Shakhym Abdrakhmanov at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC).

The Trans-Caspian Gas Pipeline is a proposed subsea pipeline between Turkmenbashi in Turkmenistan, and Baku in Azerbaijan.

Abdrakhmanov said this project involves the supply of Turkmen gas through Azerbaijan to Georgia and further to the countries of Eastern Europe.

Abdrakhmanov noted that Turkmenistan's potential resources amount to 71.2 billion tons of oil equivalent, of which 53 billion tons on land, 18.2 billion tons at sea, more than 190 oil and gas fields have been discovered.

The reserves of the large Galkynysh field with adjacent structures are estimated at 27.4 trillion cubic meters of gas.
