BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 17. Slovenia and Azerbaijan can create a lot of green solutions, Matjaž Han, Slovenian Minister of Economic Development and Technology said in an exclusive interview with Trend November 17.
“Slovenia and Azerbaijan have long and friendly diplomatic relationship. Economic cooperation between Slovenia and Azerbaijan has been relatively modest. It has been based mainly on the trade and in the vast majority on the export of goods from Slovenia to Azerbaijan. Slovenian business community cooperates quite well with the Azerbaijani companies. The cooperation has been supported by the Association of Friendship between Slovenia and Azerbaijan and also by the Slovenian-Azerbaijani Business Council. Nonetheless, we are aware that it could be upgraded and that the exchange of information about the potentials of each country is essential,” said the minister.
Matjaž Han pointed out that Slovenia has been focusing on green economy and sustainable development in order to become an advanced, low-carbon society that actively responds to global challenges as well as co-create new trends.
By investing in R&D, the development of a digital society, culture of science and information technology, Slovenia will continue with its creative and smart vision towards faster development of digital society built on science and information technologies. Speaking of new spheres of cooperation, we would definitely point out those which are green, creative and smart, which is also in line with our slogan for economy and also with the sustainable development. We are convinced that we can create a lot of green solutions, creative ideas and take smart decisions for mutual benefit and increase the economic cooperation between Slovenia and Azerbaijan,” he added.
