Several cities, villages in Iran's Lorestan Province to be supplied with gas

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 19. One city and 15 villages in Iran’s Lorestan Province (western Iran), are expected to be supplied with gas in the near future, an official of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Moslem Rahmani said, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.

He made the remark at an event dedicated in the province on November 19, 2022.

According to Rahmani, Titkan city and 15 surrounding villages will be supplied with gas. In total, 520 families live in the mentioned city and villages. A total of 733 billion rials (about $17.4 million) is planned to be spent in this regard.

“In addition, 7 villages with 370 families in Lorestan Province were supplied with gas on November 19, 2022. In this regard, 110 billion rials (about $2.62 million) has been spent,” the official added.

In general, 1,216 cities and 34,884 villages in Iran were supplied with gas till February 2022. In other words, more than 98 percent of Iranian cities and about 84 percent of the country’s villages were equipped with gas.
