BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 16. The total electricity generation in Azerbaijan grew in December 2022, Trend reports via the country’s Energy Ministry.
According to the ministry, this figure amounted to 2.7 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh), up by 75 million kWh (five percent) on annual basis.
Besides, Azerbaijan’s import of electricity increased in December last year by 100,000 kWh compared to the same month of 2021, to 10.7 million kilowatt-hours.
At the same time, the country’s electricity export also grew, by 177.2 million kWh year on year, standing at 463 million kWh.
In 2022, the total electricity generation in Azerbaijan exceeded 28.9 billion kilowatt-hours, which is growth of 1.1 billion kilowatt-hours (four percent) compared to the previous year.
