BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 22. Gas refining of Iran’s Ilam Gas Refining Company in the Ilam Province (western Iran) increased by 9 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Executive Director of the company, Rouhollah Nourian said, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.

According to Nourian, in total, 1.17 billion cubic meters of gas supplied into the country's gas network in 9 months.

“In addition, the company produced more than 900,000 barrels of gas condensate over the reporting period, which over 781,000 barrels were sold,” he added.

The director also said that the company produced more than 55,000 tons of sulfur within 9 months. Of the produced sulfur, more than 63,200 tons were sold. Sulfur sales for the reporting period increased by 20 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Nourian noted that Ilam Gas Refining Company supplied with approximately 1.6 billion cubic meters of rich gas in 9 months.

As reported, the first phase of the company’s refinery processes 6.8 million cubic meters of sour gas per day. After processing, 5.8 million cubic meters of methane gas will be transported through the Iranian gas network.

Furthermore, the first phase produces 370,000 cubic meters of ethane, 1,300 cubic meters of crude gas, 1,200 cubic meters of gas condensate, and 340 tons of sulfur per day.
