Iran's Assaluyeh Petrochemical Green Tanks Company eyes to put new storage tanks into use

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 27. Iran's Assaluyeh Petrochemical Green Tanks Company will put 9 new storage tanks into use in the coming days, CEO of the company Mohammad Reza Yazdani told reporters, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.

The CEO noted that the capacity of the mentioned storage tanks is 414,000 cubic meters.

Yazdani added that so far, 22 storage tanks for petrochemical products have been made for a total of $350 million.

According to him, 22 storage tanks are planned to be built in the near future. The total capacity of the company's storage tanks should reach 1.2 million cubic meters. In general, $620 million is estimated to be spent for the construction of the mentioned 22 storage tanks.

"Currently, Iran's Assaluyeh Petrochemical Green Tanks Company stores various petrochemical products, including methanol, propane, butane, light naphtha, ethylene, butadiene and etc. belonging to some Iranian petrochemical companies, such as Morvarid Petrochemical Company, Marjan Petrochemical Company, Bushehr Petrochemical Company,” the official said.

The Assaluyeh Petrochemical Green Tanks Company was established in 2012. The company is located on 47 hectares of land in Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) in Iran’s Bushehr Province. The purpose of creating the company is to store petrochemical products in tanks and transport them to Pars port for export.
