Iran’s Offshore Oil Company eyes to increase production from Resalat oil field

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 11. Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) is expected to increase production from the Resalat oil field by 12,000 barrels daily for the next Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024), within the plan to maintain and increase production from the mentioned field, CEO of the IOOC Alireza Mehdizadeh said, Trend reports citing the National Iranian Oil Company’s website.

According to him, 4 new wells will be drilled and 2 wells will be repaired in the Resalat oil field in order to increase production.

Mehdizadeh also added that a platform will be made to install in the mentioned field within the next 6 months.

The CEO noted that the plan to maintain and develop production from the Resalat field will be implemented by the Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company.

Iran's Resalat oil field is located 85 kilometers south of Lavan Island in the Hormozgan Province. Reportedly, Iran extracts 46,000 barrels of oil from this field per day.
