BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 17. Azerbaijan exported 1.9 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe from January through February 2023, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy told Trend.
During this period, Azerbaijan exported 4.3 million cubic meters of gas in total, which is 13 percent more than in the same period last year.
A total of 2.2 billion cubic meters of gas were produced from the Azeri–Chirag–Gunashli block of fields, and 4.4 billion cubic meters from the Shah Deniz field. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 1.4 billion cubic meters of gas.
"Since the beginning of the year, 1.9 billion cubic meters of gas have been transported to Europe, 1.7 billion to Türkiye, and 0.7 billion to Georgia. During this period, 0.9 billion cubic meters of gas were transported to Türkiye via the TANAP [ Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline]," the statement said.
A total of 8 billion cubic meters of gas were produced in Azerbaijan from January through February 2023. This figure is 4 percent, or 319 million cubic meters, more than in the same period last year.
