BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 17. Azerbaijan's oil and condensate production from January through February 2023 amounted to 5,1 million tons, the Ministry of Energy told Trend.
According to the source, the output from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) totaled 3.1 million tons, while Shah Deniz production accounted for 0.7 million tons. Oil production by the State Oil Company (SOCAR) amounted to 1.3 million tons.
"In the reporting period, oil and condensate exports accounted for 4.1 million tons. Of these, 3.8 million tons were exported by consortia, and 305,000 tons by SOCAR," the ministry said.
Since ACG field became operational, some 206 bcm of gas and 570 million tons of oil (including condensate) have been extracted from the field.
The production from the Shah Deniz field, as of today, totaled 187 bcm of gas and 41 million tons of oil. Azerbaijan's exports from Shah Deniz accounted for 131 bcm of gas and 609 million tons of oil.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's oil refining over the first two months of the current year amounted to 1.1 million tons (51,000 tons up year-on-year).
