BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 27. Gasoline consumption in Iran for March 25, 2023, increased by 19.7 percent compared to the same day in 2022, Trend reports referring to the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company’s website.

On March 25, 2023, about 121 million liters of gasoline were consumed in the country, while the figure stood at 101 million liters on the same day in 2022.

On average, about 115 million liters of gasoline were consumed in Iran between March 21-March 25, 2023.

Meanwhile, gasoline consumption in the country averaged 122 million liters per day from March 11-March 20, 2023, which is a 13.9 percent increase compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Also, daily gasoline consumption in Iran averaged more than 144 million liters on March 19 and March 20, 2023, which is considered a record figure in daily gasoline consumption in the country.

Iran currently produces 105 million liters of gasoline (75 million liters in accordance with Euro 4 standards) and 110 million liters of diesel (54 million liters in accordance with Euro 4 and 5 standards) in 10 oil refineries.

Reportedly, domestic trips in Iran are increasing due to the fact that the population organizes holidays and celebrations during Nowruz and New Year. In general, Iranian people celebrate the Nowruz holiday in the country from March 19 till March 25.
