BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 17. Azerbaijan imported 3,192 tons of liquid fuel for industrial purposes from Turkmenistan from January through February 2023, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.
According to the information, in terms of value, Azerbaijan imported liquid fuel for industrial purposes from Turkmenistan in the amount of more than $1.2 million.
Furthermore, in the first two months of this year, the country imported a total of more than 29,194 tons of liquid fuel for industrial purposes worth $11.47 million.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. The country pays great attention to the construction of oil and gas processing plants and the export of energy resources to world markets.
Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan from January through February this year amounted to $105.1 million, which is 3.6 times more than compared to the same period last year ($29.1 million).
