BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 29. TAP AG consortium has announced the gas flow nominations for various interconnections of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) on May 29, Trend reports.
At the Kipoi interconnection in Greece, the gas entry nominations amounted to 333,605,291 kWh, while at the Komotini interconnection, the exit nominations were 34,390,675 kWh. The Nea Mesimvria interconnection recorded 10,280,000 kWh for gas entry and 30,346,301 kWh for gas exit on the same date. Additionally, the Melendugno interconnection reported 276,548,315 kWh for gas exit on May 29.
As the European segment of the Southern Gas Corridor, TAP plays a critical role in Europe's energy security, supply diversification, and decarbonization efforts. It has the capacity to transport approximately 10 billion cubic meters of gas annually, with the potential to expand up to 20 billion cubic meters per year. This pipeline serves as a reliable source of natural gas, contributing to Europe's access to a new energy resource.
