BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. Gas output from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) and Shah Deniz fields amounted to 402.7 billion cubic meters since the commissioning of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) and Shah Deniz fields until August 1, 2023, Trend reports.

According to Azerbaijan's Economy Ministry, gas production from the ACG amounted to 211 billion cubic meters, and Shah Deniz - 198 billion cubic meters as of August 1 this year.

Meanwhile, gas exports from the Shah Deniz block of fields amounted to about 139.9 billion cubic meters.

In the first seven months of this year, production from the ACG block of fields amounted to 10.6 million tons of oil, and Shah Deniz - 2.6 million tons of condensate.

Since the commissioning of the ACG and Shah Deniz fields until August 1, 2023, oil production (together with condensate) at them amounted to 620.3 million tons (with the ACG - 577.5 million tons of oil, with the Shah Deniz - 42.8 million tons of condensate), and oil exports (together with condensate) amounted to 618.4 million tons.

Oil refining in Azerbaijan equaled 3.7 million tons from January through July this year.

The Azeri-Chirag-Deep Water Gunashli (ACG) field, located approximately 100 km east of Baku, is the largest block of oil and gas fields in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.

Shah Deniz gas field is the largest natural gas field in Azerbaijan. It is situated in the South Caspian Sea, off the coast of Azerbaijan, approximately 70 kilometers southeast of Baku, at a depth of 600 meters. It's considered to be a founding link for the Southern Gas Corridor, aiming to bring additional and alternative natural gas volumes to EU member countries.
