EIA unveils projections for crude oil output in Turkmenistan for 2023-2024

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 13. Turkmenistan's daily average production of oil and other liquid hydrocarbons is expected to reach 0.27 million barrels in 2023, Trend reports.

According to the International Energy Agency (IEA) in its oil market forecast, the prediction for the country's oil production remains unchanged when compared to the prior report.

The report also indicates that the expected daily oil and liquid hydrocarbon production in Turkmenistan for the year 2024 will remain consistent at 0.27 million barrels.

Additionally, the EIA observed that Turkmenistan's oil production in 2022 reached a daily output of 0.26 million barrels.

Overall, based on the accessible information, Turkmenistan generated over 8.9 million tons of oil in 2021, representing a 7.3 percent decrease compared to the 9.6 million tons produced in 2020.

Meanwhile, according to the Turkmengaz State Concern, the country's hydrocarbon resources are estimated at more than 71 billion tons of oil equivalent. This volume includes more than 20 billion tons of oil and more than 50 trillion cubic meters of natural gas.
