Iran's Persian Gulf Holding boosts petrochemicals

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 18. Iran's Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Holding’s petrochemical production increased by 7 percent, or about 1 million tons, since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 to September 18, 2023), compared with the same time last year, CEO of the company Abdolali Ali Asghari said, Trend reports.

The CEO pointed out that the company produced 12.3 million tons of petrochemicals within the specified period.

"The holding aims to enhance the quantity and quality of its petrochemical products. In this direction, it plans to launch four new facilities by the end of this year (March 19, 2024) to increase its petrochemical output," he added.

Iran's Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Holding is considered one of the main petrochemical companies in the country. At present, the holding’s annual production is over 20 million tons. The holding plans to increase its annual production to 46 million tons until 2026.
