BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 20. Iran is ready to increase petrochemical exports to Serbia, taking into account the existence of potentials between the two countries, CEO of National Petrochemical Company (NPC), Morteza Shah-Mirzaei said in Trend.
He made the remark at a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Jagoda Lazarevic on the sidelines of the 17th Iran Plast Exhibition held in Tehran.
Shah-Mirzaei noted that Iran’s petrochemical industry produces many kinds of products. So, Iran can send petrochemical products to Serbia without any middlemen.
He also said that Iran’s petrochemical industry has many plans to grow and get better, and he asked Serbian investors to put money into these plans.
At the meeting, Jagoda Lazarevic said that Iran’s petrochemical industry is doing well and that Serbia wants to work more with Iran.
Iran's annual petrochemical production capacity is currently 92 million tons. By the end of the current year (March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024), this figure is estimated to reach 95 million tons.
The 17th Iran Plast International Exhibition is being held in Tehran. The 3-day exhibition will end today.
