BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 18. Azerbaijan imported 58,062 tons of RON-92 gasoline from January through August 2023, which is 70.5 percent lower than the same period last year, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, the cost of gasoline imported amounted to $54.1 million during this period (a decrease of 75.8 percent).
The largest amount of imported gasoline (74.4 percent) was transported from Turkmenistan – 22,073 tons worth $19.6 million during the reporting period of 2023. In addition, 14,947 tons worth $11.9 million were imported from Russia.
In general, Azerbaijan started importing RON-92 gasoline from Lithuania in August. A total of 20,094 tons worth $22.6 million were imported.
Azerbaijan imported 198,079 tons of RON-92 gasoline worth $223.5 million in 2022.
