ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 26. Gas production in Turkmenistan is expected to reach over 80 billion cubic meters by the end of this year, Trend reports.
This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Turkmengaz State Concern, Myrat Archayev at the 28th International Conference and Exhibition 'Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2023' (OGT-2023).
According to him, the state concern will account for about 73 billion cubic meters of the total volume of gas produced in the specified year.
He noted that gas exports this year are projected to amount to about 40 billion cubic meters, of which about 35 billion cubic meters will be supplied by the Turkmengaz State Concern.
China will remain the main export destination; more than 30 billion cubic meters will be transported there.
Meanwhile, the international exhibition and conference "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2023" (OGT-2023) will be held in Ashgabat from October 25 to October 27 this year.
The event will be attended by representatives of state and international organizations, national and private oil and gas companies, as well as experts from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, the US, Russia, UAE, China, Japan, Malaysia, the UK, Italy, Cyprus, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, and Singapore.
