BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 13. Iran's Ministry of Energy has improved conditions to allow the people and the private sector to earn more money with the renewables, Trend reports.

In particular, the Ministry has raised the price it purchases solar energy by 40 percent.

The new prices for the solar power plants are as follows, according to the ministry:

- Solar power stations that can produce between 20 kilowatts and 1 megawatt of electricity will be able to sell generated energy for 22,000 rials (about $0.52) per 1 kilowatt.

- Small-scale solar power plants that have a production capacity of less than 20 kilowatts will be able to sell generated energy for 25,000 rials (about $0.6) per 1 kilowatt.

- Solar panels for low-income families, secondary schools funded by donors, and solar power plants in this category will be able to sell generated energy for 30,000 rials (about $0.71) per 1 kilowatt of electricity.

Iran has enabled ordinary people to make the most of alternative energies in the country.

Therefore, the state will buy the excess electricity that citizens generate with alternative energies besides their own energy needs.
