Azerbaijan discloses gas output from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli block of fields

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 13. Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of oil and gas fields offshore Azerbaijan has produced 11.7 billion cubic meters of gas from January through November 2023, as compared to 12.2 billion cubic meters in the same period in 2022, Trend reports, citing the country’s energy ministry.

As such, ACG saw a four percent decrease in natural gas production year-on-year.

Azerbaijan's overall gas production for the same period reached 44 billion cubic meters, with the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) contributing 7.7 billion cubic meters to the total.

This signifies a 3.6 percent increase in the country's gas output compared to the previous year, amounting to a growth of 1.5 billion cubic meters.

BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) Limited is the operator on behalf of the Contractor Parties to the ACG Production Sharing Agreement.

ACG participating interests are: bp (30.37 percent), SOCAR (25 percent), MOL (9.57 percent), INPEX (9.31 percent), Equinor (7.27 percent), ExxonMobil (6.79 percent), TPAO (5.73 percent), ITOCHU (3.65 percent), and ONGCVidesh (2.31 percent).
